The Fanshawe support staff strike has gone on for almost a week.
The union representing the workers and the union representing the colleges are far apart on a deal.
XFM News spoke to Graham Lloyd who is the CEO of College Employee Council and got his thoughts on the situation.
“Well we are hopeful that the strike won’t last long, that will depend on how long they (the striking workers) want to stay out for.” Says Lloyd.
“We have asked them to come back to the table as soon as we can, or let’s go to mediation arbitration so we can get them back in the room and back in the buildings.” Lloyd states.
Lloyd goes on to say “ensure that there is less disruption on students.”
The strike started on Sep. 11 and has continued since with no resolution in sight.
