The American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has been pulled off air by ABC over his comments about Charlie Kirk.
On Monday night, Kimmel opened his show with comments on the Charlie Kirk killing.
“The Maga Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Disney’s ABC removed “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” from their program on Wednesday after pressure from the Federal Communications Commission over his comments about the death of Charlie Kirk.
US President Donald Trump declared the cancellation as “great news for America” while fans, unions, and actors such as Ben Stiller call it an attack on free speech and how “it’s not right”
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will stay suspended indefinitely as ABC said the comedian’s remarks about Kirk were “offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse”.
