The Blue Jays have officially secured a playoff berth with their win over the Kansas City Royals 8-5.
After the missing playoffs in a disappointing 2024 season, the Blue Jays are looking to secure the best record in their division and the top seed in the American League.
They are the first team in the American League to clinch playoff spot as well as the first to reach 90 wins. Currently the Yankees are sitting two games behind as they trail the Blue Jays in the AL East. This would be the first divisional title since 2015, and they look to win their first post season game since 2016.
The Blue Jays have shown to be a much better team in Toronto going 50-25 at home compared to 40-41 while away. Securing the top seed would ensure home field advantage for the whole postseason.
Hoping to finish the season strong with homestands against Boston and Tampa, the Blue Jays are looking to win their first World Series since 1993.
