A serious altercation broke out last Friday at Deveron and Shelbourn.
Police say two people arrived at a house in search of the owner. The men proceeded to argue, which led to one of them pulling out a weapon and hurting the other. The neighbour’s property was damaged during the fight. A neighbouring house was also caught in the crossfire and damaged. The assaulted man was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital.
When the cops arrived, they were able to arrest one of the two assailants. The other man fled to a vehicle and got away.
Tehohalet Powless, 43, is being charged with aggravated assault and mischief. He is expected to appear in court again on October 24, 2025.
The police are saying the missing suspect is around 25-years old and Indigenous. He left in a silver Cadillac SUV, with LPS providing a license plate number: DETL 324. Those with information are asked to call LPS at 519-661-5670 or contact Crime Stoppers.
