Scams have been seen all over social media with swindlers claiming to have tickets listed well below market value. Scammer target fans hoping to get out to the games who were unable to get them through Ticketmaster due to giant queues and tickets costing hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.
London Police issued an alert warning local fans not to let scammers take advantage of their excitement.
Police say to always purchase your tickets from verified vendors like Ticketmaster or trusted resale websites. They also urge fans to be cautious of social media sellers and say that if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
