London police have charged a man after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning turned fatal.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the intersection of Trafalgar Street and Condor Court, where seven people were taken to hospital. Three of them had serious, life-threating injuries.
Police say a passenger in one of the vehicles, a 22-year-old man, died in hospital.
A 41-year-old London man has been charged with multiple offences, including:
- dangerous operation causing death,
- dangerous operation causing bodily harm,
- impaired operation causing death,
- impaired operation causing bodily harm,
- operation while prohibited,
- driving under suspension,
- failing to wear seatbelt, and
- unsealed container of liquor.
The man remains in custody after he appeared in court late last week, and is set to reappear in court Monday.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area of Trafalgar and Condor between 3:20 a.m. and 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, and may have witnessed the crash, to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
The investigation is ongoing.
