There’s games all over London going into the weekend, with Fanshawe, Western and lots of hockey.
Fanshawe Falcons
The Fanshawe softball team is finishing their season, and they’re expected to play Conestoga College in the first round of the playoffs. Fanshawe’s Jasmine Seager has leads the team in hits and batting average. She’s also top three on the team for walks and runs batted in.
The Fanshawe baseball team is facing Lambton College on Oct. 11. Lambton is the number one seed, while Fanshawe is holding on to the two seed. Durham College has won seven games in a row and are now only one game behind Fanshawe.
Western Mustangs
The Western Mustangs look to extend their winning streak on Oct. 11. Western is currently 6-0 on the season.
Mustangs’ running back Ethan Dolby leads the Ontario University Athletics league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Dolby has 956 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns in six games. Western University takes on York on Oct. 10.
London Hockey
The London Knights have won back-to-back games after falling short in the first four games of the season. London Knights Jared Woolley leads the team in goals and points, with four goals and two assists on the season.
The London Nationals have not lost a game this season. They’ve started the year 8-0 with no plans of slowing down. Nationals forward Austen Pomerleau is tied for fourth in the league for points scored. The Nationals play on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday this week.
