There will be an additional road closure around Fanshawe’s London campus.
First Street will be closed at Oxford Street starting October 14, one day after Thanksgiving.
The city says in a statement that the south portion of the Oxford/First intersection will be closed for approximately four weeks.
The closure will prevent any north and southbound travel through the intersection or access to Oxford from First.
Oxford will remain open with reduced lanes for east and westbound traffic.
Businesses in the construction zone will still be accessible via Oxford.
Temporary crossings will be provided for pedestrians, and there will still be access Fanshawe through a temporary pathway on the north side of Oxford.
The closure is part of the city’s continued work on phase 4 of their East London Link project, which is expected to continue into 2026.
